Guild Wars 2 takes a while

Guild Wars 2 takes a while

Mar 26, 2011

GuildWars2 has been lacking a official release date for some time now and I’m certain that there are more fans of GW2 that discuss the game’s release date more than they do the actual game-play; placing it into the same topics of discussion as Duke Nuken Forever, where we see pretty graphics and promises, but no set release dates.

So far since the time they announced GW2, ArenaNet has kept the release date a secret. Tis rumored that ArenaNet doesn’t know when GuildWars2 will be ready for a release date announcement.

ArenaNet stated before that they were to re-designing the GuildWars game completely from scratch, including the game engine and graphics. Their goal is to develop an entirely original MMORPG game engine for GW2 in order to support their new MMORPG innovations . They’re developing a brand new MMORPG not like an expansion pack or sequel. It’s still a sequel in a franchise scheme of things, tacking a 2 onto  Guild Wars, but it’s also an entirely different game, which makes this interesting.

ArenaNet’s presentation of GuildWars2‘s new graphics & gameplay promise a true ground breaking experience in the MMORPG category. Of course any game with a big budget behind it wants this peacock presentation backing it, but can ArenaNet not just peacock  the cock, but also walk the walk? Time will tell, but with no release date announced yet, this lines the game right next to Duke Nuken Forever.

However I believe GuildWars2 a game that shows a promising future for us MMORPG gamers and it’s coming close to a release. The Beta is said to start in 2011, hopefully by this summer which is the best time for a beta like this to start.

Being in the dark about the new Dynamic Event System ArenaNet has alluded to only arouses our MMORPG pleasure glands to a new level of juiciness as such a feature does sound truly ”Ground Breaking”. I’m sure everyone wants to see and try it, just walking around without a list of quests, seemingly random events blasting off spontaneously around you where ever you go, whatever you do changes the world around you depending on your decisions and actions.

A Dynamic Event System is what makes GuildWars2 very important and the most anticipating feature from ArenaNet.

This will be one hell of a game. I’m sure everyone else agrees.

I’m going to play as the thief, who are you going to play as?

  1. No lie, the Dynamic Event System does sound epic and the pictures are pretty, but it has to be released for us to play it. 8P

I’d play as nothing cause I don’t have time. 8*(

    You can play for me.

  2. Hence why we’re waiting.
