What is this?
“WhyAmIPlayingThis” is a group blog created to produce Game Reviews, commentary, and comedic parodies. Now you can see random grieving and ranting on some of your favorite titles of games and Next-Gen Video Games.
With that in mind we also created this site for everyone to listen to some funny commentary like during an online stream playing some of the greatest and worse games. You can use our commenting system in order to choose what game we’re going to review or make a parody from.
This is a place for gamers looking for a place to relax, listen, and laugh.
Team
WhyAmIPlayingThis? Was originally founded by “Phantom Index” Alex De Armas who has gone to direct the successful Minecraft server SynapseSMP.
Martenous
Martenous (Alex) is a regular writer and video producer for WAIPT; he is soon to be university student studying for a BA. He aims to provide reviews and Let’s Plays to the site. He lives in Canada.
Michael Duane Mooring
The current director at WAIPT, Michael also runs the web design company, Mass Distribution Media, that owns WhyAmIPlayingThis.com. Mike loves hackerspaces, hacking, open source web tech and outer space. His dream is to participate in the forestation of Mars.
Rating System
WAIPT uses a simple rating system based on the 5 main categories that make up a game. Story, Game-play, Music, Graphics, and Multi-player. After those 5 are listed I’ll give a final score based off the 5 categories.
I scale these categories from 1-10, then tell you if it’s worth buying, renting, or looking into. 
Art
All artwork is done by Nosh. He’s really good at what he does when it comes down to designing images. If you like to get some logo designs done then just leave us a message below and I’ll contact him immediately or email Nosh directly at [email protected], but his services aren’t free. Publishers
We are a crowd sourced media producer. Some of our current shows like CADC’s Let’s Play and Nosh’s Games That Blow(Coming Soon) are example of home brewed shows that become featured here on WAIPT and you can follow in their footsteps and get your content featured here as well. Simply Register or Login and then Add a new “Post”. We will receive notification as soon as you Publish your Post and we will then proceed to review it’s content to make sure it is up to our standards. In the near future we will also have different options for content publishers to monetize their content here on WAIPT.
